AtmosClear is working with a forest-land manager to purchase verified emission reductions -- specifically Voluntary Carbon Units (VCUs) -- from a project that improves forest and forest-land management.  The project will increase carbon sequestration in the forested area and enhance habitat for local plants and animals. AtmosClear will purchase more than 10,000 VCUs from this project for each of the years 2008 and 2009. 

AtmosClear is contemplating purchasing 20,000 to 36,000 VCUs per year from another forestry project starting in 2009 and continuing for several years.
